The Human Version

SmoothExit helps you craft thoughtful replies when you need to say no. Use it kindly, don't abuse it, and we'll keep making it better. That's the deal.

The legal stuff below is necessary, but the spirit is simple: be a good human, and we'll be a good app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using SmoothExit, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are governed by Danish law.

2. What SmoothExit Is

SmoothExit is an AI-powered reply assistant that helps you:

• Generate thoughtful, witty replies to decline invitations or set boundaries
• Choose from 7 different tones (Polite, Honest, Funny, Soft No, Hard No, Chaotic, Delay)
• Customize replies based on your relationship with the recipient
• Save favorites and access your history
• Share replies as beautiful gradient cards

SmoothExit is designed to help with social communication, not to deceive or manipulate others. Replies are playful and honest, never malicious.

3. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use SmoothExit. If you're under 18, you should have parental permission. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

4. Acceptable Use

Please use SmoothExit responsibly. You agree not to:

• Use generated replies to harass, bully, or harm others
• Generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, or illegal
• Attempt to bypass usage limits through automation or abuse
• Reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the app without permission
• Use SmoothExit for spam, phishing, or fraudulent purposes

5. AI-Generated Content

SmoothExit uses AI (Anthropic's Claude models) to generate replies. Important things to know:

• Replies are generated fresh each time — they're not pre-written templates
• AI can sometimes produce unexpected or imperfect results
• You are responsible for reviewing and choosing what to send
• We have content moderation in place, but it's not perfect

You own the content you create using SmoothExit. We don't claim any rights to your replies.

6. SmoothExit Pro Subscription

SmoothExit offers a free tier and a Pro subscription:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies

7. Third-Party Services

SmoothExit integrates with:

• Anthropic — For AI-powered reply generation (Claude API)
• Apple App Store — For distribution and in-app purchases
• Apple iCloud — For syncing favorites and settings (Pro users)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Intellectual Property

SmoothExit, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Screaming Donkey Studio. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of SmoothExit without permission. The name "SmoothExit" and our logos are trademarks of Screaming Donkey Studio.

9. Disclaimer

SmoothExit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the app working well, but we can't guarantee:

• The app will always be available or error-free
• AI-generated replies will always be perfect or appropriate
• The app will meet your specific needs

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screaming Donkey Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SmoothExit, including any consequences of replies you choose to send. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for SmoothExit Pro in the past 12 months.

11. Termination

You can stop using SmoothExit anytime by deleting the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, particularly if you abuse the service or use it for harmful purposes. We'll try to give notice when possible.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as SmoothExit evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark. This doesn't affect your rights under local consumer protection laws.
