Your photos are stored on your device. To make them searchable, a compressed copy is temporarily sent to our secure server for AI analysis, then immediately discarded. We never store your photos. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for ads.
AI analysis is powered by Google Cloud Vision, Anthropic Claude, and Google Cloud Translation. Under their API terms, your images are processed in memory, not persisted to disk, and never used to train AI models.
This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under GDPR and Danish law.
Screaming Donkey Studio is the data controller for the personal data processed through Kluegr.

What: Photos, screenshots, scanned documents, and imported files you save in Kluegr.
Where they go: A compressed copy is temporarily sent to our secure backend for AI analysis using Google Cloud Vision and Anthropic Claude. The image is processed and immediately discarded — we never store your photos on our servers.
Storage: Your original images are stored locally on your device only (and optionally in your personal iCloud for Pro users)
AI processing: Google Cloud Vision handles text extraction, brand detection, and colour analysis. Anthropic's Claude provides semantic understanding, descriptions, tags, and search embeddings. Google Cloud Translation enables multilingual search. Under their API terms, images are processed in memory and not persisted to disk. Neither Google nor Anthropic use your images to train AI models, store them, or share them with any third party.
In-app consent: The app asks for your explicit consent before any image is sent for AI analysis. You can review this disclosure anytime in Settings > Help & FAQ.
What: Tags, descriptions, categories, OCR text, and receipt data extracted by AI
Where it's stored: Locally on your device (and iCloud for Pro users)
Why: To make your items searchable and organized
Your control: Delete any item to remove all associated metadata
What: A random, anonymous identifier generated on your device
Why: To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
What it's NOT: Not your Apple ID, not your name, not personally identifiable
Your control: Deleting and reinstalling the app generates a new identifier
What: Anonymous usage patterns (which features you use) and anonymous search query patterns (search terms and result counts) to improve search quality
Why: To improve AI accuracy, search relevance, and app usability
How: Tied to a pseudonymous device identifier — never linked to your identity, photos, or personal information
What we DON'T do: We never sell, share, or monetize this data. We never track image content, tag values, OCR text, or personal details
To analyse your images, a compressed copy is temporarily sent to our server, which forwards it to Google Cloud Vision API for structured analysis. The image is then immediately discarded.
See Google Cloud's Privacy Notice and Vision API Data Usage FAQ
Your images are also forwarded to Anthropic's Claude for deep semantic analysis, and text descriptions are sent for search embedding generation. The image is processed and immediately discarded.
See Anthropic's Privacy Policy
