Gladr is built with privacy at its core. Your location data stays on your device. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for ads. We collect only what's needed to make the app work.

Why: To quietly capture walk metrics without making them the focus

What: Display name, avatar emoji, Apple ID identifier (if you sign in)
Where it's stored: CloudKit (Apple's servers, encrypted)
Why: To enable friend features, Twin matching, and sync across devices
Your control: Use Gladr without an account. Delete account anytime.
What: Friend connections, walk invites, messages (Gladr.+ only)
Where it's stored: CloudKit (Apple's servers, encrypted)
Why: To enable walking together, Ghost Walks, and Twin discovery
Your control: Block users, unfriend, hide from search.
Twins are strangers who walk like you—similar patterns, not exact locations. Here's how it works:
Twin matching is designed to connect people who might appreciate the same kind of walk, without ever revealing where exactly you go.
If you enable iCloud Sync with Gladr.+, your walks are synced via Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted and stored on Apple's servers under your Apple ID.
We don't have access to your CloudKit data—it's encrypted with keys only you control.
