Terms of Service

The Short Version

DriedInk is a private journaling app. Your entries are yours. We don't see them, we don't store them, we don't sell them. Use the app fairly and we'll all get along. These terms are governed by Danish law.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using DriedInk, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of these terms and any updates.

DriedInk is a private journaling application for iOS. It allows you to:

• •Write one daily journal entry (180 characters)
• •View your entry history in a flowing timeline
• •Export your entries in multiple formats
• •Sync across devices via iCloud (Pro feature)

4. Your Content

All content you create is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud sync, it syncs through your personal Apple iCloud account. We never access, read, or process your entries.

Entries become read-only 24 hours after your last edit. This is by design—like ink drying on paper. There is no delete function for past entries.

5. Acceptable Use

DriedInk is designed for personal journaling. You agree to:

• ✓Use the app in compliance with applicable laws
• ✓Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the application
• ✓Not use automated systems to access the app

6. Payments

DriedInk Pro is a one-time purchase processed through the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, no hidden fees.

Refund requests should be directed to Apple according to their App Store policies. EU consumers have the right to withdraw from digital purchases within 14 days, unless you have expressly consented to immediate performance.

7. Intellectual Property

The DriedInk application, its design, code, and trademarks are owned by Screaming Donkey Studio. Your content (journal entries) is and remains yours. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the application.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DriedInk is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we strive for quality, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app will meet your specific requirements. We recommend using the export feature regularly to back up your entries.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Danish law, Screaming Donkey Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data. This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Danish law.

10. Governing Law

EU consumers may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of DriedInk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
