DriedInk collects zero data. We have no servers. We have no analytics. We literally cannot see your entries.
Your journal entries are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync (Pro feature), they sync through your personal iCloud account—we still never see them.
Nothing. Literally nothing.
All entries are stored locally on your device using SwiftData with SQLite. They are encrypted at rest via iOS Data Protection. Nothing ever leaves your device.
If you enable iCloud sync, your entries sync through Apple's CloudKit private database. This means your data lives in your personal iCloud account—encrypted, private, and controlled by Apple's infrastructure. We have no access to your CloudKit data. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
DriedInk uses the iOS LocalAuthentication framework to offer biometric lock. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is managed entirely by Apple's Secure Enclave. We never access, store, or transmit biometric information.
DriedInk Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit 2. We never see your payment information. Apple handles all transaction processing according to their Privacy Policy.
Under GDPR and Danish data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data. Since we don't collect any data, these rights are effectively self-service:
DriedInk does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since all data is stored locally on the device, there is no data collection or transmission involved.
If we ever change this policy, we'll update it here. But honestly, our policy is “we don't collect data” and that's not going to change.
